Scholarships for Stephenville High School
Each year the Stephenville Lions Club provides a $1,000 and a $500 scholarship to two female Stephenville High School students. Applications are solicited from members of the Junior and Senior Class each Spring. Judging is on the basis of academic achievement, community involvement and service, articulateness and personality. Winners are announced at a regular Lions Club meeting in May, and the winner is designated as The Stephenville Lions Queen for the following Lions year.
During her year as Queen, the young lady is expected to attend Lions Club meetings, to participate in Lions Events and Fund Raisers, and to generally represent the Stephenville Lions Club to the community.
Upon their graduation from Stephenville High School, the scholarship monies are paid to a College or University of their choice.
